The first edition of the FORT Biennale_01In the Body of Language, will take place at Fortress Franzensfeste from Jul 6 – Nov 10, 2024, inviting visitors to explore language’s role in identity, communication, and connections across human, digital, and non-human realms. Curated by Ulrike Buck and Margareth Kaserer, the exhibition features installations by artists like melanie bonajo, Toni Schmale, Özlem Altin, and Nadja Verena Marcin, alongside works from the Museion collection by Tracey Emin and Roni Horn. Set at the trans-Alpine Brenner Pass, this Biennale transforms a historic site of control into a space for unexpected, sensory encounters and connection.
