Joggingehenmusemassnahme

Video, DV, 15.15 min
Geneva, Switzerland

The Jogginggehenmusemassnahme begins with sweeping camera shots over the port of Geneva, capturing scenes of everyday hustle and bustle. The focus then shifts to a young jogger—the artist herself—whom the audience follows from the harbor into a park, described as “the labyrinth of memory and cultural structures.” In this setting, a fantasy world with a physical and erotic charge begins to unfold, inspired by the beauty of the day and the attempt to confront the rational domestication of nature with nature itself.

As the jogger continues her journey through the city and into the night, she leads us into an associative flow of thoughts, articulating the release of fundamental human desires. These desires, evoked by the rhythm of life—the act of running, the pulse of blood, and the primal force of Eros—momentarily liberate us from the hyper-civilization of the modern world, bringing a fleeting sense of inner bliss within the protagonist’s world.
