On April 24 and May 17, 2023, two events with #SOPHYGRAY, a feminist chatbot by artist Nadja Verena Marcin, will take place in the Digitalvilla of the University of Potsdam near the Griebnitzsee campus. In collaboration with the PLATFORM GLITCH AESTHETICS, the Institute for Information Systems, Processes and Systems invites you to a print exhibition, artistic talks, a digital writing workshop and a lecture performance with the invited artist.
On May 17, 2023, a digital writing workshop will take place in the Digitalvilla, where participants will gain insights into the programming processes of chatbots, with a focus on integrating feminist literature into their knowledge base. The workshop will include a reading of Legacy Russell’s influential manifesto Glitch Feminism (2020), which explores the idea of coding the female body and its intersection with digital culture. This workshop invites participants to engage with #SOPHYGRAY’s feminist critique of technology.
